From classroom decorations to annual festive events, there's no shortage of holiday cheer filling the air at Hamber. Exchanging gifts during the holiday offers a unique opportunity for friends to share their holiday wishes and celebrate the festive season together. Looking for gift ideas (for a friend, or maybe just to add to your wish list)? These Hamberites know exactly what they’re asking for this holiday season; take some inspiration!
Willa Chu (8), asked for a cardigan, blazer, or a double-breasted swing coat. “And maybe lip balm too,” she added.
Hamber’s nearby Starbucks is a popular location for students during lunch, so Andrew Shi (10) wants a Starbucks gift card, which he intends to spend on hot cocoa or other cozy drinks.
Eloise Ramslie (12), a true folk music enthusiast, says that concert tickets to Noah Kahan’s February performance in Vancouver would be her ultimate wish.
Kohen Lee Lennox (9) wants “basketball stuff,” such as a new pair of Air Jordans, a sports bag, or maybe just a nice basketball itself.
To boost productivity and make daily tasks easier, Della Young (9) hopes for a new laptop — maybe even a Macbook Pro.
For Ms. S Lemmon (LLC), Eras Tour tickets are at the top of her holiday wishlist, a suitable ask for a teacher that’s strung-up Taylor Swift themed decorations across the library. However, she acknowledges that the Eras Tour is over, and accepts that tickets to Swift’s next concert would be a more realistic ask.
A trip to Germany to visit Christmas markets would make Ms. M. Poon’s (English) Christmas unforgettable. She says the events are “magical, complete with charming little shops draped in festive lights.” Similarly, Ms. M. Lee (Math) says a trip to Hawaii is always a welcome gift.
Ms. H. Tam (Home Economics) wants something practical for Christmas, perhaps a high-quality kitchen gadget or a set of premium baking tools. She especially values gifts that can be put to good use, making her daily tasks easier and more enjoyable.
As for Mr. J. Lauzon (Administration), the only item he’s inked down on his Christmas list is world peace.
