Global superstar Olivia Rodrigo opened her world tour in Hartford, Connecticut last month, and all of a sudden her Vancouver shows didn’t seem all that far away. Back in May, the Unraveled Tour sold out in less than 24 hours. The setlist includes most of her latest album, You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, a series of love ballads, pop hits and her first duet, telling the story of a relationship in chronological order.
Rodrigo performs around 23 songs each night as her visuals move through all four seasons. Beginning in spring, “Drop Dead” starts playing at around 8:00 PM. In only two hours, Rodrigo manages five outfit changes, one assisted by water melting her dress off, to display a bright red one underneath — almost as if it had unraveled.
And the attendee dress code? Match the album theme, wear anything pink or lacy, or recreate one of Rodrigo’s looks (red yarn blood from her music video for the cure or perhaps cover your face in SOUR-era stickers).
The tour consists of three stages: the main stage with her band and flowers; stage B, where rain during her performance of “The Cure” disintegrates her dress; and a C-stage. The show includes multiple barricade walks during “Stupid Song” and “Less.” During these songs, she crosses almost the entire front row of the general admission pit. After moving through spring, summer, summer twilight, autumn, and winter, the show ends in a second spring with “Expectations.”
Rogers Arena will be hosting the Unraveled Tour in Vancouver on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2. Reseller tickets are currently going for approximately $500 and up on StubHub.
To save where you can, avoid buying stadium food and bottled water by eating beforehand and using the venue's water fountains. This is especially important, since water bottles and outside food are prohibited in the stadium, along with umbrellas and large bags.
While the performance starts at 8:00 PM, plan to arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand, or earlier, if you want to see the opening act or buy merchandise. With general admission and early access tickets, the earlier you arrive, the closer you get to the stage. In previous tour stops, fans arrived up to six hours before doors opened to claim spots in the first few rows.
